A SAMPLE ITINERARY FOR A 4 NIGHTS HOLIDAY IN MALINDI/WATAMU

A sample itinerary for a Five days, 4 nights Holiday in Malindi this December for a 5 pax family/group

Day 1:

3.00 pm: Pick up from Airport to Residence, refreshments, Orientation and Dinner from a resident chef. 

Day 2:

Late Breakfast, swimming at the resident pool, private beach experience and Alfajiri® dhow Ride in the afternoon, back to Residence. 

Day 3:

There is so much to see and experience, and it's unlikely  your itinerary will cover all of them, so your guide will assist you pick these attractions in order of proximity to each other, preference or reference.  

Watamu tour:

Arabuko Sokoke Forest, 

Gede Ruins, 

kirepwe Island & Ruins,  

Mida Creek, 

Sabaki river estuary, 

Watamu marine park, 

Crab Shark Restaurant

Dabaso & Dabaso Rock.

Day 4

Malindi tour. Places to visit:

1. Vasco da Gama pillar

2. Kipepeo Market

3. Takwa Ruins

4. Portuguese chapel

5. Malindi Marine National Park

6. Mayungu Public Beach

Day 5:

The  previous day was grilling and exhausting.  So it's in order to wake a little late and have breakfast served at 10. Am. The morning can be spent Relaxing at the resident pool, a stroll along  the private Beach & Photography, Homemade seafood by an incall chef, preparation for check out, review in the visitors Book, transfer back to Airport..

A GLIMPSE OF SOMALIA

 It's like visiting two worlds, to emerge from the noisy, chaotic bedlam that is Baqqara Market and stand on the ledge of Dolphin Hotel, Mogadishu Liddo Waterfront.  Baqqara is like Eastleigh on steroids; it gives the heady, money fuelled energy that hovers one short step from madness. The energy at Liddo is calming, with a sweet breeze blowing in from the impossibly beautiful azure waters of the Indian Ocean.  It's Independence Day, and Mogadishu is teeming with optimism. Blue flags all over and the mojo is infectious. Even the aged militiaman who frisks me for hidden weapons is relaxed, doing so while sitted, his rusty, ancient Kalashnikov at his feet and a cigarette jauntily clamped at the corner of his mouth. The signs of a nation rising cautiously but boldly from its ruins are all over. Behind me, the ancient, bomb scarred ruins of warlord Ali Mahdi Mohammed's former HQs and palace are now flanked by a spanking new, multi-storey apartment complex.  Children play...
